# Trusted Execution Environments

FOGEVM utilizes hardware-based isolation to ensure code integrity. We currently support Intel SGX and are expanding to AWS Nitro Enclaves.

#### The "Black Box" Guarantee

* **Remote Attestation:** Before a user submits a transaction, their wallet performs a cryptographic handshake with the node. The node proves it is running genuine, unmodified FOGEVM code inside a secure enclave.
* **Memory Encryption:** Even if the cloud provider dumps the RAM of the physical server, the data belonging to FOGEVM remains encrypted.
